Online voting begins tomorrow, April 18th at 10:00am, and closes noon Friday. Students may vote for up to 8 candidates. Juniors and Sophomores voting only.

Academic Decathlon

Our Academic Decathlon Team competed this weekend at Regionals held at Westminster College. We were the underdog competing with a skeletal team. Brenner Birth came as a last min substitute so we would have enough points on the honors team to have a fighting chance. Our Scholastic team was held together by one member who is dependable and an alternate on varsity who was willing to compete up a division so that we would again have enough points to try to compete as a full team. And our Varsity team just rocks! Because of their efforts we were able to place third in our division, which came as a pleasant surprise!

Here is the breakdown of the individual medals earned:

Honors team:
Whitney Peterson: Bronze – Science
                                Bronze – essay
                                Bronze – Social Science
                                Silver – Interview
                                Gold – Math J
Brenner Birth: Bronze – Economics

Scholastic team:

Kinderbeets Preschool

We are now accepting names for the 2013 - 2014 Jordan High Preschool.
Children who have turned 4 by Sept. 1, 2013 are eligible to sign up for the Early Childhood Education Lab. The registration fee is $25 and tuition is $65/month for 2 1/4 hours of preschool twice weekly from October through May.
We offer a low student/teacher ratio along with kindergarten readiness skills and play centered learning activities. This is a tremendous opportunity for your child to participate in our high quality program!

State Championship Shirts

After winning a state football championship, we have designed a new t-shirt to celebrate! See above for the design of these t-shirts. We will have all sizes available on a first come first served basis. We HAVE ordered a few kid’s larges, since they don’t come in extra small. The community can buy them in the Main Office, and students can buy them during both lunches for only $15. All money raised will be donated to our STATE CHAMPIONSHIP football team.
We hope to get the first round of shirts on Tuesday or Wednesday (November 27 or 28.) If we sell out of the first 500, we will order more.

XFINITY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL CHALLENGE - SEPT. 29

Doubleheader Event Features Jordan and Alta High Schools Playing Host to St. John Bosco of California and Don Bosco Prep of New Jersey.
Sandy City and Xfinity are proud to announce the pairings for the second annual edition of the Xfinity High School Football Challenge, a gridiron doubleheader at Rio Tinto Stadium featuring Sandy-based teams playing host to high-caliber, nationally-ranked, out-of-state competition. The 2012 Xfinity High School Football Challenge will be played on Saturday, Sept. 29, with the 2:00 p.m. MT matinee featuring Jordan High School squaring off against Bellflower, CA-based St. John Bosco High School before the 7:00 p.m. MT nightcap between Alta High School and Don Bosco Prep from Ramsey, NJ.
Tickets for the XFINITY High School Football Challenge are now on sale, with advance and day-of-event pricing as follows:
Advance Prices Single-game Student General Seating - $5 Single-game Adult General Seating - $10
Day-of-Event Prices Single-game Student General Seating - $6 Single-game Adult General Seating - $12
Parking for the doubleheader will be available on-site at Rio Tinto Stadium in the facility's West, South and North lots for $5.
If Jordan High School sells 1,000 adult tickets to the Xfinity High School Football Challenge, Rio Tinto Stadium will grant a $1,000 endowment to the Beetdigger Athletic Department!
