Dear Jordan High Class of 2020 Students and Parents:
We are excited to announce that Jordan High School will be celebrating our Class of 2020 on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Jordan High School from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Graduating seniors will receive their diploma cover and have an opportunity to walk across a stage for recognition of their high school completion. Please read through this information entirely for direction concerning participation in the events that day as well as events leading up to the celebration and dates following the celebration.
All seniors eligible for graduation need to go to the attached link to sign up for a time when you will be expected to arrive at the celebration ceremonies. Once you click on the link, you will be directed to choose a time to walk; after confirming your time, you will be expected to arrive 10 minutes early for your time slot at Jordan High School. Graduates will be issued a mask, program, and name card prior to the procession.
This special event will be livestreamed in order for all of your friends and family to watch you walk across the stage in front of Jordan High School. During this event only one car, which is the car carrying the graduate, is allowed to attend the celebration. There is NO PARKING available for spectators.

May 28 Celebration Day Instructions
The map below will guide you as you arrive at Jordan High School to participate in your celebration.
All events will take place in the front of the school. As you arrive you will be directed to enter ONLY from the south / middle entrance on Beetdigger Blvd. After entering you will be directed to the southwest (Faculty) parking lot. This is where you will line up in your vehicle for your turn to enter the stage area. In the faculty parking lot, you will be provided with one mask for the graduate and 2 graduation programs. You MUST wear the mask while outside of your vehicle.
When it is your turn to enter the stage area, you will exit the faculty parking lot on the west side and turn to drive across the front of the school. You will be driving across the front of school from west to east; there will be teachers and markers directing you when to exit the car and walk across the stage. While walking across the stage you will receive your diploma cover and have an opportunity for photographs by the person driving your vehicle as well as a photographer on site in front of the stage. NO ONE, OTHER THAN THE GRADUATE, IS ALLOWED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, AS PER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT ORDERS.
You will then exit the stage to get back into your vehicle. After returning to your vehicle, you will be directed to drive to the east side student parking lot near the tennis courts to return your Jostens gown. If gown is not returned, you will not receive your diploma. You will then be directed to exit the parking lot on the east side onto Sego Lily. Please see the map above for further directions.
May 26-27 Pick-up and Drop-off
- MAY 26 : Last Name A-J, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- MAY 27 : Last Name K-Z, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Items will be dropped off and picked up as a drive thru.
Items to drop off and pick up on your assigned day:
- Chromebooks, hot spots, textbooks, and any other Jordan High School items that need to be returned.
Once the student has been cleared of all fines and all items have been returned, seniors will receive the following items:
- Sweatshirt (if ordered), If students chose to receive a yearbook at no cost to them, they will not receive a sweatshirt.
- Pop socket
A banner will be available at this time for each senior to sign, which will be used to commemorate the senior class gift. Seniors must be wearing a mask to be able to sign the banner.
Tentative Plans for June 10
Yearbook and Diploma Distribution
Seniors will pick up the following items on this day (drive-thru style):
- Flash drive video of all senior year celebrations
- Actual diplomas will be available. Further information will be forthcoming regarding pick up this day.
Senior banner will also be available to sign this day commemorating the senior class gift. Seniors must wear a mask to sign the banner.
If a student chooses not to attend on this day, their diploma and flash drive will be mailed to them. Yearbooks will not be mailed. They can be picked up at your convenience in the main office after this date.
Formal Graduation Ceremony
A formal traditional graduation ceremony is scheduled for August 7, 2020, provided that the Board of Health and Governor Herbert authorize a gathering of this size. It will be an evening ceremony beginning at 7:00 p.m. on the football field. More information will be given to seniors and their families as this date approaches.
