Welcome and Approval of January Minutes
SCC Vice Chair, Erica Brown called to order, welcomed the Council, and asked for a motion to approve January meeting minutes.
Vicky Hulderson motioned to approve January 2026 minutes, Melissa Jones seconded and motion was approved by unanimous vote
1. School Review and Updates
Attendance and absenteeism- Kelcey Kemp provided data review with discussion, questions, and answers
Review of Overarching School Target Goals, Climate Goals, and Academic Goals
Kelcey Kemp provided review with details, and implementation ideas discussed Community of Learning and College and Career Readiness, Avid and WICOR program discussed
Budgets—No discussion
Data Review—Kelcey Kemp reviewed Early Warning System (EWS) data and discussion ensued
Land Trust/TSSP—No discussion
Other Items- Discussion surrounding advanced academic night, attendance and performance incentives
2. Counseling Center Updates
Melissa Jones: discussed Digger Fair, Advanced Academic Night, College Day for juniors, Great Start Awards (positive reinforcements), registration cards (students who have not submitted are being pulled and worked with individually), 10th grade CCRs, Substance Abuse Prevention Night (time to pick a date, many no-shows compared to those who sign up), course-request process and class schedules discussed
3. Additional Items- Construction update- on target for timely completion
4. Adjourn—Jenny Baker motioned to adjourn, Vicky Hulderson seconded motion, unanimous vote to adjourn. Adjourned at 6:42pm.
