  3. Review SCC Roster / Contact Info
    ● Discussion about adding to bylaws that if a parent inquires late for an SCC position after the deadline they can be added to the SCC as long as there is an open spot within the maximum 18 seats.
    ○ Vickie asked to clarify that this rule is only if an open spot is available (18)
    ○ Motion passes unanimously

  4. Review and Approval of May Meeting Minutes
    ● Vickie motions to accept the minutes

  5. Budgets
    ● Review of Academic Plan approved by 2025-2026 SCC
    ○ Waiting on the official 2026 graduation rate which is final later this month.
    ● Review of Academic Action Plan and Expenditures from last year as written on Dashboard
    ○ FTE Audit was today. Currently Mr. Kemp reports that we are on track with land trust plan
    ○ The funds must also pay benefits – right now we are overpaid on TSSP. Mr. Kemp is working on how to stretch the money as far as possible.
    ■ We are funded at 57.5 FTE by School Performance. TSSP funds us up to 66.18 (8.438)
    ● Review of School Climate Plan approved by 2025-2026 SCC (PBIS)
    ○ Liz asked how attendance is taken during APP (Community of Practices)
    ■ Mr. Kemp explained the process along with goals of APP this year in general.
    ■ Discussion about how RTI/APP can help students
    ○ Isaac asked if there are any unique social emotional needs that we are noticing.
    ■ Right now we are noticing increased needs overall but not any specifics.
    ■ Is this district wide trend asked Melissa?
    ● Admin will compare with other schools.
    ○ Update on AVID Binder Checks for 9th grade.
    ■ Is there a direct relationship with well being and those involved in AVID elective?
    ● Erica says her children have had a great experience and study habits based on being part of AVID at Eastmont.
    ■ Karlie mentioned students that have parietal schedules such as online. How do we ensure they have the same experience as far as AVID Binder Checks, example?

    ○ How can we help find groups for those that don’t have them?

  9. Counseling Center Updates Counselor
    ● Based on Scheduling at the beginning of the year with a new system (Q). Arena did not work this year. It should be working next year.
    ● Update on new pins that include new branding for student incentives.
    ● Currently Q does not print deficiencies automatically, so parents should look for triplicates coming home with information about graduation requirements
    ● Senior class CCRs coming soon.
    ● UCAW is in October – look for information
    ○ Career Fair during lunch
    ○ College Fair during lunch
    ○ Following week, college reps will visit senior ELA classes
    ○ FAFSA completer night – Oct 12, 6pm in the library
    ● Counseling proposal for 2027-2028 school year
    ○ Allow Arena for students to change classes as they wish.
    ■ Seniors would get priority pending IT making it happen.
    ■ Certain classes are locked
    ○ After that student schedules would only be corrected
    ■ Errors
    ■ Level changes
    ○ Questions?
    ■ Is it equitable for families that may not have access to the internet or not be as savvy on technology.
    ● School labs could be available.
    ● Master schedule.
    ■ Discussion about how lack of Arena this year created massive problems for students getting classes they need and want.
    ■ If a senior does not currently have ELA, how do they get information/opportunity during events like UCAW?
    ● Seniors will get information through RTI sessions.
    ■ Clarifications
    ● The spring process would not change.
    ● Fall would be Arena session (early August)
    ○ SCC voted unanimously to approve this plan for scheduling presented.
