Jordan High’s “Test to Stay” Event

Attention Jordan High Students and Parents:

The number of COVID-19 cases associated with Jordan High has reached the threshold that would require additional action to maintain the health and safety of our school community. However, instead of requiring a temporary pivot to online learning, the Utah Department of Health is allowing Jordan High to conduct a “Test to Stay” program. In this effort, participating students will receive a rapid antigen COVID-19 test at school and during 6th period on Thursday. If you have morning CTEC, we will test you at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Jordan High’s “Test to Stay” event will be held on Thursday, Jan. 21 during 6th period. Parents must provide consent before students can participate. Jordan High parents can provide consent and register their students by following this link:  https://c19.health.utah.gov/surveys/?s=3XDE77E4CK&dagid=PTIJordanHS

The following QR code will also take you to the registration link for the “Test to Stay” program:

We cannot test any student without the online registration completed. This registration must be completed with the supervision of a parent. This must be done before 6th period on Thursday.

Results of the test are received about 15 minutes after the test is taken. Those who test negative will remain in school. Those who test positive or choose not to test will learn remotely for 10 days and will be able to return to school on February 1st.  The aim of the program is to identify the asymptomatic carriers to reduce the risk of at-school exposures.

By holding the event, Jordan High School can maintain its in-person learning schedule.

Principal Wendy Dau will be sending more specific information.
