Meeting Notes and Agenda:

  1. Welcome and Approval of February Minutes:

SCC Chair, Patrick Doyle, welcomed the Council and asked for a motion to approve February meeting minutes.

James Barron motioned to approve February 2025 minutes, Trudy Barnes seconded and motion approved by unanimous vote

Dr. Eschler provided review and updates: 

Budgets—review and discussion, 10% carry over discussed, JHS has never been in the red during Dr. Eschler’s tenure as principal

Data Review— Dr. Eschler briefly discussed budgets and accounting

Land Trust/TSSP – Dr. Eschler discussed the need to fix an accounting area wherein school was

charged an entire teacher salary from TSSP funds when only a 7th period authorization funded

by TSSP.

Melissa Jones: We’re done with CCRs, last Great Start of the year, Junior visits coming up wherin counseling team goes to classrooms, Senior deficiencies will happen this week and after Spring Break, Bob Spears was named Counselor of the Year, interviewing new counselor for our team

Other Items–  SCC terms were briefly discussed, new principal, Kelcey Kemp, will be at SCC next meeting to introduce himself to the SCC.  The process of the appointment of a new principal was shared, fire alarms are going off due to construction, complexities of creating school wide board/schedule was discussed, APP scheduling discussed, construction discussed exterior rendering requested by Matthew, traffic flows discussed, FTE/loss of staff discussed
