Hello Jordan High Families!
We have a lot going on this week especially as we launch into tryouts for spring sports and host Parent Teacher Conferences. Many of our students have done some incredible things that we want to share it with you.
Celebrations:
- Congratulations to the Jordan High Cheerleaders who recently placed fourth at their recent nationals competition in California! Way to go!
- Congratulations to both the Girls and Boys Basketball Teams who advanced in the state play-offs last week. Both teams fought hard during their last games against Westlake and Skyridge respectively, and we had a lot of school spirit shown by our students. While we did not advance to the quarterfinals, the teams showed tremendous talent and represented the Diggers well. Way to go!
- Congratulations to Jordan High’s Robotics Team, the Gravediggers, who represented our school well at the Capitol last week. They participated in an event called “Robots on the Rotunda” and showed all of our legislators their incredible problem-solving skills. Way to go!
- Congratulations to the Jordan High Drumline who also performed at the State Capitol last week during the legislative session. People came out of their offices and out of conference sessions to hear their amazing talent. These students also did a great job of explaining why it’s great to be a Beetdigger here at Jordan High!
Announcements:
- Yearbooks! If you want to be guaranteed a yearbook for $46, you need to make sure you order one NOW. Pre-orders are due on February 28th. After this, yearbooks will only be available on a first come-first serve basis. Come to the main office if you want to make sure you will be receiving a yearbook at the end of the year.
- Attention Seniors: Please check your senior student’s lunch account. If there is money in the account, and they are not using the account, you can have it transferred to one of your other students. You can also request a refund if it is for a larger amount. It is easier to get larger amounts returned to you sooner rather than later. Please let our Nutrition Department in the cafeteria help you if you have questions.
