About Us

Jordan High Motto

Honoring the past. Embracing the present. Anticipating the future.

Our Mission:

Celebrating a century of tradition and legacy, our mission is to establish lifelong learning by encouraging, guiding, and challenging all of our students..

“Tradition is a part of us, and throughout the halls of Jordan, there are individuals which make Jordan stand tall within that tradition.  To parallel our lives with the greatness it takes to maintain the tradition is evident in the football stands or the classroom or any other phase of life associated with Jordan.  We create respect in victory and we maintain a silent spirit in defeat, knowing that our efforts are set at the top.  Though each of us is different, we can all unite in taking credit for Jordan’s accomplishments and pride in being a Beetdigger”
- John Bishop, class of 1974

As an AVID secondary school Jordan High School is also committed to AVID’s mission of closing the “opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society.”

College Credit

Jordan High School assists students in being college ready by providing many AP courses, Concurrent Enrollment (CE) courses from Salt Lake Community College, Weber State University, Utah Valley University, Utah State University, and Utah Tech University. In addition, we provide access to the University of Utah coursework through our Spanish Dual Language Immersion program (DLI) and early college Step 2 the U program.

Jordan High School also supports students in achieving their career readiness through multiple Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses, pathways, and Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). Students also have access to additional CTE courses and pathways through Canyons Technical Education Center (CTEC).
