Attention, Seniors. Looking for a scholarship? This post is for you. Below is a list of JHS scholarships available, how to apply, and their due dates. Hop on these. You’ll never know if until you apply.

Jordan High CEF Scholarships
Alma and Ora Fairbourn Memorial Endowment BUSINESS & FINANCE Scholarship

Due Date: March 27, 2026
The Fairbourn Family is providing a scholarship for a senior who has demonstrated excellence in
Business and/or Finance. Must be accepted and planning to attend college in the upcoming fall
semester. Submit a short essay indicating why you think you are a good candidate for this
scholarship, where you plan to attend college, and what you plan to study in college.

Alvin Malstrom Behind the Scenes Scholarship

Due Date: March 27, 2026
In honor of Alvin Malstrom, who enjoyed working with his hands and helping others. This scholarship
is for seniors who have participated in school activities or classes like woodworking, stage tech,
stage crew, automotive, sewing, or other areas that help students who like to work with their
hands. Must be accepted to a two or four-year institution.

Fairbourne and Malstrom MUSIC Scholarship

Due Date: March 27, 2026
Must be a graduating Senior at Jordan High School. The student must excel in and demonstrate
aptitude and interest in MUSIC. The student must demonstrate financial need, be in good standing in
school and the community, and plan to attend a four-year, two-year, or trade school. The award is
intended to be used for academic purposes such as tuition, fees, room, board, and/or books. A short
essay (200 words or less) is required describing “plans and dreams for their future and how they
want to accomplish these”.

Jorgensen Legacy Scholarship for Students with High Potential

This scholarship has been established to support students with high potential from Jordan High
School. The award will be $8,000 each year (up to four years). Students demonstrating excellence
and pursuing careers in the following subject areas may apply: STEM (Physical Sciences/Math),
Performing Arts (Music/Drama), CTE or Skilled Trades, Debate or English Literature, Visual Arts

Malstrom Beetdigger Award

This scholarship is in honor of Alvin Malstrom and is to be awarded to a Jordan High School senior
who plans to attend a post-secondary institution. The ideal recipient is someone who has felt a
connection and involvement during their time at Jordan High. Also, this scholarship recognizes
someone who has overcome various obstacles and challenges. Must be pursuing business and finance.

JHS Raymond W. & Merilyn Whittenburg Scholarship

This scholarship is in honor of Raymond W. and Merilyn Whittenburg and is awarded to a Jordan High
School senior who plans to pursue a degree in education or business. Must have plans to attend a
two-year or four-year degree program.
Must be from a single-parent household. Submit one personal essay and two letters of
recommendation.

School Alumni Association is looking to award a current Senior who has been involved with service
in their community and school.

American Free Enterprise Foundation

Award Amount: Five $1,000 awards
The American Free Enterprise Foundation provides training and college scholarships to help youth
build skills and access to education. This scholarship recognizes students who value Hard Work,
Service to Others, Courage, Personal Integrity, and Determination to succeed.
Must have financial need, write short-answer responses, and attend the organization’s seminar and
recognition banquet.


Bright Future Equity Scholarship

Award Amount: $1000
This scholarship has been established for the purpose of supporting a student who is beating the
odds in pursuing a higher education. The award will be $1,000.


Canyons Strong Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,500
The Canyons Strong Scholarship seeks to reward a senior from each high school in the district who
has financial need and has shown improvement or exemplary effort in working toward the goal of
post-secondary education. We are looking for seniors that have “risen” above difficult
circumstances either in family life, financially, emotionally, scholastically, etc. and are still
dedicating themselves to furthering their education.


Draper Chamber Legacy Scholarship – BUSINESS

Award Amount: $1,500
Draper Chamber Legacy Scholarship recognizes a student who is in good academic standing and
interested in pursuing a four-year, two-year, or trade school with an emphasis on a Business
Degree. Student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and submit an essay.


Mont and Kristine Millerberg Scholarship – BUSINESS or EDUCATION

Award Amount: $2000 / academic year ; 4 year renewal
This scholarship has been established for the purpose of supporting a student who participates and
is accomplished in high school and is pursuing a degree in either accounting or education. Renewal
is dependent on maintaining 3.0 GPA and still majoring in said department.
