Registration Information 2021-2022
It is time once again to begin the registration process for the 2021-2022 school year. All forms required for registration must be filled out online either at home or at Jordan High School during walk-in registration. If you have questions about your Skyward login information, please call 801-826-5525. Everyone must go through the online registration process.
General Registration Information:
If your child has attended a school in Canyons School District in the past, you will use your Guardian Skyward Family Access ID and Password to begin the online registration process at https://skyward.canyonsdistrict.org . Once logged in, simply follow the prompts and make personal identification updates as needed.
If you completed the course-selection materials last spring, your schedule will be available for viewing on August 3rd once online registration has been completed. If students need to add or drop electives and make changes, this can be done through Arena Scheduling which will be open for students at 8 a.m. on August 4th through 12 p.m. on August 9th. All changes depend on space availability. After 12 p.m. on August 9th, academic class changes can be handled by a counselor in the Counseling Center. All other change requests may be submitted on August 19th or 20th online at https://jhscounseling.weebly.com .
If your child is new to Canyons School District or if your student did not fill out course-selection materials last spring, you will need to come to the school on Wednesday, August 4th, 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 3 – 6 p.m. or on Thursday, August 5th between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. to complete enrollment and registration. If your child has never attended a school in Canyons School District, please bring your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of address into the Attendance Office to begin the registration process. If you would simply like assistance with the registration process, you may stop by Jordan High School’s Attendance Office between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. beginning on Monday, August 3rd.
School Fees and Costs:
When registering online, you will need to pay any school registration fees using a debit or credit card. Students will also be assessed fees for some elective courses and for extracurricular activities in which they participate. If you prefer to pay with cash or check, please visit the Main Office so that we can assist you. If you believe you qualify for a fee waiver, an application with verification of income must be filled out and turned in to your child’s assigned assistant principal. In accordance with Utah state law, even if you have qualified for a fee waiver in the past, you must re-apply and provide verification of income every year. At least three of the most recent pay stubs, evidence of food stamp deposits, 2021 W-2s, or 2021 taxes must be provided to qualify for a fee waiver. If you choose to pay the registration fees and then later qualify for a fee waiver, your registration fees will not be refunded.
School Pictures:
Lifetouch Photography will be taking your student’s picture for the yearbook and for their ID card on Wednesday, August 4th from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Thursday, August 5th from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. We strongly encourage you to have these pictures done prior to the beginning of school so that students can have their ID cards to get them into school activities. Pictures will also be available for purchase online, if desired.
